My name is Kamuela Castellano, I am a student at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I created this website as a means to share my professional credentials and creative works in a convenient website.
About Me
I am of Native Hawaiian, Japanese, and Salvadoran ancestry, my interests and background help me understand the complexities of struggle, especially in our current times. I am passionate about arts, politics, and social justice. These things drive me in my everyday life, besides those I also train in Olympic Weightlifting and try to fit in as much reading as my time allows. After I earn my B.A. in English, I intend to go on to Law School after which I intend to be a Public Defender. Above all, I value honesty, integrity, and humility and do my best to live up to these values in every waking moment.
Kulia i ka nu’u, means ‘strive for the summit’ in `Ōlelo Hawai’i, I intend to use my passions and talents in solidarity of my community and those who need it most. My reasoning? Why else would I be gifted this drive if not to help others?
